MaxLinear is seeking a Principal ASIC Verification Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:


  • Verification for large SoC verification projects, contributing to key areas of test development and providing technical guidance to the junior members
  • Driving innovation and implementing best-in-class SoC verification methodology
  • Defining SoC verification strategies, test plans and project execution plans
  • Delivering test bench architecture, functional models and complete test environments and test suites that meet coverage targets and ensure first-time silicon success


  • Deep Verification experience, including use of a source control system and able to debug RTL code using simulation tools
  • Hands on experience in verification strategy development and execution for large SoCs and signoff with coverage metrics
  • Hands on knowledge of UVM methodology, System Verilog, SystemC, C/C++
  • Knowledge of verification IP and functional coverage techniques
  • Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills with excellent analytical and debugging skills
  • Flexible self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies and products
  • Prototype lab bringup and silicon validation experience for at least one device
  • Compression / decompression and encryption / decryption experience is a plus
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 8 years of experience, or MS + 6 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 3 years of experience
