MaxLinear is seeking an experienced full-cycle Recruiter to join our team, supporting the growth and ongoing hiring in the U.S. and Canada.   • Candidate Sourcing & Screening
    • Source and screen candidates for 60-80 positions annually in the U.S. and Canada for technical and corporate positions in engineering (ASIC, RF, Software, CommSys, CAD, etc.), Linux, finance, accounting, marketing, IT, HR, facilities, admin
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop a candidate pipeline for open positions while developing a recruiting bench for future hiring needs
    • Partner with hiring managers to update job descriptions for accuracy and modify for recruiting / marketing of positions
    • Conduct effective HR phone screens and interviews to ensure strong understanding of candidate fit, expectations, and motivation
    • Assist with the coordination of candidate interviews
  • University Recruiting
    • Lead university recruiting for the U.S. and Canada to attract undergrad and grad students for internships (30-50 annually) and full-time opportunities
    • Coordinate and participate in campus job fairs, company information sessions, and student site visits
    • Develop program for maintaining contact with students after internships to help drive conversion to full-time employees
  • Systems
    • Enter and maintain requisitions in iCIMS (applicant tracking system) to ensure positions are tracked and published to our careers page
    • Ensure candidate activity is tracked real-time in iCIMS and recommend enhancements to iCIMS
    • Ensure U.S. and Canada reqs are accurately documented and tracked in global req tracker in Excel
  • Social Media
    • Develop MaxLinear’s brand on social media with marketing team to enhance MaxLinear’s presence
    • Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and through social media
  • Job Offer Process
    • Develop candidate offers based on internal comps and market data
    • Make verbal offers to candidates
  • Ability to negotiate and get others to buy in to your perspective
  • Participate in req sync meetings with finance to ensure we are aligned to the AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
  • Participate in req sync meetings with central engineering to provide progress reports and respond to shifts in needs
  • Provide live and online training on iCIMS and interviewing skills and techniques


  • Recruiting experience (agency or internal) from sourcing to interviewing to closing candidates
  • Experience recruiting engineers highly preferred
  • Strong ability to interview and get a clear understanding of candidates to determine fit to position and to the company, raising concerns if they arise
  • Experience sourcing candidates from social media, through referrals, and creative approaches
  • Experience tracking candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle, ensuring hiring teams are kept current, and actions are taken timely to drive the screening and selection process
  • Strong Excel capability to track activity and provide reporting
  • Experience developing candidate offers
  • Experience with campus recruiting preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience updating and developing accurate and compelling job descriptions
  • Strong ability to engage with employees from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of the organization
  • Drive to support our internal customers but also able to set expectations and limits
  • Experience making job offers
  • Experience working with candidates in U.S. immigration processes preferred
  • Bachelor's degree + 7 years of progressive, relevant experience
