Facilities Specialist

MaxLinear is seeking a Facilities Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:

• Responsible for general maintenance and operational performance testing, adjustment, and care of:
  • HVAC equipment: RTU (roof top unit), SCU (self-contained unit), chillers, boilers, pumps
  • Plumbing systems
  • Electrical & Lighting systems: Generators and ATS (automatic transfer switch)
• Work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications and in compliance with building codes and safety regulations and on time with minimal impact to the business
• Project coordinator for large and small-scale repairs
• Assist with maintaining building security and respond to building emergencies 24/7
• Maintain inventory of lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and other building related supplies and tools
• Proactively inspect grounds and building appearance and condition and address needed items timely
• Prepare and update floor plans for building reference including fire escape plans
• Transports goods or equipment as assigned

• Experience or working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC
• Working knowledge of building control and automation systems
• Able to read and understand complex drawings
• Proficient with MS Office
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred
• Knowledge of sprinkler systems, fire panels, and fire pumps preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent + 6 years of experience

MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.

MaxLinear expects to offer compensation within the range of:  $17.45 to $23.80 Hourly

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
