- Collaborate with sales and customers to maximize the market share of our existing products and to gain a keen understanding of future needs of Tier1 customers
- Partner with Systems and Design Engineering to create new product definitions and roadmaps that will give us an edge over the competition
- Work with Applications Engineering and Marcom to generate the tools and documentation needed to maximize the value and impact of our leading-edge products
- Manage product positioning and pricing of our current products at new and existing customers
- Drive efforts for design wins and forecast revenue associated
- Train sales, develop tools for the direct sales team and channel partners
- Create close relationships with key decision makers at current and future customers
- Maximize new product potential by developing, implementing and managing plans for product launches including documentation, sales collateral, presentations and positioning
- For all new proposed projects, prepare Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) as well as Competition and Return-on-Investment (ROI) analysis for executive kick off reviews
- Research and analyze market opportunities, trends, and competitive pressures to develop appropriate product management strategies and roadmap
- Actively participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between the needs of marketing and customers
- Support preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts for financial and supply management
- Regular travel for customer meetings

- Develop, implement, and manage plans for product launches, including documentation, sales collateral, and presentations

- Develop and distribute supporting product documents (briefs, application guides, data sheets, and bulletins
- Provide product positioning in new and existing market segments, driving efforts for design wins

MaxLinear is seeking a Principal Analog EDA Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Development, maintenance, and support of MaxLinear Analog, RFIC Project Environment that includes EDA Tools, PDK, and custom MxLware scripts
- Interface with designers to assist them with customizing design flows and creating scripts to automate design tasks
- Install and manage EDA Tools such as Cadence, Mentor, Synopsys
- Provide support to IC design engineers on EDA issues and maintain tools, licenses, storage, and compute servers
- Develop device CDF, callbacks, netlist procedures, and relevant utilities using Cadence SKILL language
- Provide user support for various PDKs, EDA Tools for design entry, simulation, layout, and verification
- Setup, evaluate and deploy next-generation design environments, PDKs
- Develop custom scripts using Perl, Python, and SKILL language to validate/QA various PDK components; develop automation for analog, RF simulation flow
- Create, maintain, and validate Custom DRC rules to augment foundry supplied DRC rules; develop LVS. ERC Physical Verification rule decks
- Develop and support EMIR technology files and verification flow
- Lead innovation and enablement of custom analog/RF design methodology and solutions to address critical design challenges in leading-edge technologies
- Lead collaboration with EDA and Foundry vendors/partners to deliver innovative and comprehensive PDKs for analog/mixed signal/RF designers
- Create documentation and provide hands-on training for design and layout engineers
- Work with EDA vendors to track and resolve issues

- Participate in the product definition, system requirements, and spec tradeoffs with marketing and systems team
- Execute from concept to product release of innovative Power Management products
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to your team of junior Analog IC Design engineers
- Transistor level design of Analog and Mixed Signal Power Management ICs
- Drive micro-architecture design and circuit design based on high-level specifications
- Own technical outcome of design, verification, implementation, and execution of block level design
- Characterize and debug ICs on bench, identify and implement circuit solutions, and transfer the ICs to production
